Two signed and numbered photographs by Alaska wildlife photographer Johnny Johnson (1947-2025). The first work, "Toklat", is dated circa 1999 and numbered 33/950. The accompanying description reads: "Photo opportunities with wild wolves are extremely rare as they are wary of humans. Imagine my delight when I saw this magnificent wolf perfectly posed in a patch of autumn colored tundra. I held my breath, focused and shot two frames - then he was gone! I listened to the distant roar of the Toklat River as the image etched itself into my memory forever." The second work, "Go Fetch", is dated circa 2012 and numbered 29/950. The accompanying description reads: "A smart pair of red foxes located their den fifty feet from the ranger's cabin at the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary. The foxes chose a strategic site where humans could help protect the den while they were off hunting. The six pups were hard to photograph when out of the den, they moved so quickly. My persistence paid off when I caught this single pup bringing a stick onto the den mound. The stick didn't last long." Both are signed, dated, and numbered in the lower left corners in gold leaf ink and printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Supergloss paper. Also included are Johnny Johnson's 2012 and 2014 Alaska Wildlife Calendars, Alaska magazine, and 1997/98 The Art of Johnny Johnson Limited Edition Ilfochrome photographs catalogs. The photographs are matted and framed under glass. The larger measures approximately 24" x 28" overall.
