Three signed and numbered photographs by Alaska wildlife photographer Johnny Johnson (1947-2025). The first work, "Breach of Worlds", is dated circa 1994 and numbered 134/950. Johnson described the scene: "A humpback whale performs a full body breach near Admiralty Island in Southeast Alaska. When 40 tons of whale bursts from the water your heart stops and for a few quick seconds this behemoth of the deep appears. Then in a great crash of water it is gone." The second work, "First Light", is dated circa 1995 and numbered 791/950. Johnson described the scene: "The first rays of morning light illuminate a bull caribou and the North face of Mt. McKinley, Denali National Park-Alaska. Up before dawn, I awaited sunrise at my favorite location above Wonder Lake near Ansel Adams Point. For over twenty years I have photographed Mt. McKinley. This mountain hardly ever disappoints me." The third work, "Toklat", is dated circa 1999 and numbered 69/950. Johnson described the scene: "Photo opportunities with wild wolves are extremely rare as they are wary of humans. Imagine my delight when I saw this magnificent wolf perfectly posed in a patch of autumn colored tundra. I held my breath, focused and shot two frames - then he was gone! I listened to the distant roar of the Toklat River as the image etched itself into my memory forever." All three are signed, dated, and numbered in gold leaf ink and printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Supergloss paper. The photographs are shrink-wrapped on board. The largest measures approximately 18" x 24".
