A Samigon mountable light box accompanied by an Anchorage Daily Times from April 29, 1974 featuring a cover story about work beginning on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System. Also includes a satellite image map of Antarctica (Map I-2284) prepared by the USGS, NOAA, and the NRSC, plus a 1980s Rand McNally Cosmopolitan Series map of Alaska showing the Trans-Alaska Pipeline's route, and more as photographed. The light box tested to power on at time of cataloging. The map of Antarctica measures approximately 40.25" x 56".
