Manufacturer: Tokarev Type: Shotgun Model: TAR 12P Caliber: 12 GA Barrel Length: 18.5" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4220 S/N: 52-H24YD-001512 Ref #: N/A Notes: A Tokarev TAR 12P 12-gauge shotgun with an 18.5-inch barrel, gas-operated semi-automatic action and a distinctive silver-and-black finish. Designed around AR-style ergonomics, the TAR 12P combines a separate pistol grip, shoulder stock and flat-top sight rail with detachable-magazine feeding. This example includes both a box magazine and a drum magazine, along with folding iron sights and a Tokarev USA owner’s manual. The silver-finished aluminum upper receiver and metallic-colored barrel contrast with the black lower receiver and synthetic furniture. An extended ventilated polymer handguard surrounds the forward assembly and incorporates accessory rail sections along its exterior. The textured pistol grip, AR-style manual safety selector, magazine release and charging handle give the shotgun a familiar modern control layout. At the rear, the stock has an open butt section and a broad, grooved rubber recoil pad. Folding front and rear iron sights sit along the upper Picatinny rail, providing a conventional sighting system in a configuration that also accommodates compatible optics. The sights fold to a low profile along the rail, and the handguard offers separate mounting space for accessories. Together, the flat-top receiver and railed fore-end provide the modular arrangement that distinguishes this style of shotgun from traditional sporting configurations. The gas-operated action uses propellant gas to cycle the mechanism, with ammunition supplied from a detachable magazine beneath the receiver. One box magazine and one drum magazine accompany this example. The 12-gauge chambering offers a broad selection of sporting and target ammunition, combining a familiar shotgun gauge with the TAR 12P’s semi-automatic action and modern furniture. The metal finishes remain presentable, with light handling marks and minor cosmetic scuffing on the black synthetic furniture and magazine exteriors.
