Manufacturer: Charles Daly Type: Shotgun Model: 601DPS Caliber: 12 GA Barrel Length: 18" Optics: OHHLION reflex sight ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4295 S/N: 21SA12ER0297 Ref #: 1363078 Notes: A Charles Daly 601 DPS 12-gauge gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun with an 18-inch barrel, synthetic pistol-grip stock and a mounted OHHLION reflex sight. The compact barrel and modern sighting arrangement are paired with a conventional tubular magazine beneath the barrel, giving this example a different configuration from magazine-fed AR-style shotguns. Barrel markings identify Merak manufacture in Turkey, Chiappa Firearms of Dayton, Ohio, and a 3-inch chamber. The black-finished aluminum receiver and steel barrel are complemented by a fixed synthetic shoulder stock with rubber recoil pad, textured pistol grip and ribbed synthetic fore-end. The receiver carries a charging handle, bolt release and crossbolt safety, with the magazine loading port beneath it. Its gas-operated system uses propellant gas to cycle the action while the fore-end remains stationary, combining semi-automatic operation with the familiar under-barrel magazine arrangement. A hooded front sight and ghost-ring rear sight provide the iron-sight system. The receiver-mounted Picatinny rail supports the OHHLION electronic reflex optic, which has a protective hood and rear control buttons. The optic adds an illuminated sighting option while the separate front and rear iron sights remain fitted. An adjustable black sling with elastic sections and attachment hardware is also included. The 12-gauge chambering provides a broad selection of sporting and target shotshell ammunition. Here it is combined with a short-barreled, pistol-grip configuration and both electronic and iron sights. The black finish, furniture and optic housing remain presentable, with light handling wear.
