Manufacturer: Taurus Type: Revolver Model: 605 Caliber: .357 Mag Barrel Length: 3" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4486 S/N: AJJ592267 Ref #: N/A Notes: A new Taurus Model 605 .357 Magnum revolver with a 3-inch barrel, matte stainless steel finish and five-shot cylinder, accompanied by its factory box and papers. Made by Taurus Armas in Brazil, the 605 combines the compact proportions of a small-frame revolver with traditional double-action/single-action operation. This example's three-inch barrel gives it a longer sighting plane than the shortest snub-nose configurations while retaining a compact overall profile. The stainless frame and matching barrel surround a fluted five-shot cylinder. A black textured rubber grip with pronounced finger grooves provides a contoured gripping surface and contrasts with the uniform matte metal finish. A red-insert front sight and fixed rear notch form the sighting system. The revolver also has an exposed serrated hammer, textured cylinder-release latch, swing-out cylinder and enclosed ejector-rod housing. The 605's DA/SA design and transfer-bar mechanism are part of Taurus's modern small-frame revolver configuration. Its .357 Magnum chambering also accommodates .38 Special ammunition, giving it a lower-recoil option for recreational target practice. The original Taurus factory box, owner's manual, warranty literature, identification tags and packaged cable lock accompany the revolver. Factory tags remain attached. The stainless surfaces and rubber grip have a clean, uniform appearance throughout.
