Manufacturer: Remington Type: Shotgun Model: 1100 Caliber: 12 GA Magnum Barrel Length: 30" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4264 S/N: N698651M Ref #: N/A Notes: A Remington Model 1100 Magnum 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun with a 30-inch ventilated-rib barrel marked for 3-inch shells. Gloss-finished wooden furniture, checkered gripping surfaces and scroll decoration on the blued receiver distinguish its traditional sporting presentation. A Remington ventilated rubber recoil pad finishes the buttstock. The Model 1100 family was introduced in 1963 and became one of Remington's best-known gas-operated shotgun designs. The Magnum configuration was developed around 3-inch shells, associating this long-barreled version with waterfowl and other sporting applications using Magnum ammunition. Its 30-inch barrel provides an extended rib and a front bead, while the longer sporting profile favors a steady swinging motion. The semi-automatic mechanism uses gas from firing to cycle the action, spreading the recoil impulse across the operating cycle. A tubular magazine lies beneath the barrel, with a right-side ejection port and charging handle above. A crossbolt safety sits beside the trigger guard. The checkered pistol grip and forearm, curved trigger and full-length stock retain the familiar 1100 arrangement. The receiver scrollwork and manufacturer markings remain clear. The wood has scattered scratches, abrasions and localized finish loss, while the metal has lighter finish wear around the receiver edges and ejection port. The blued surfaces and gloss stock finish remain broadly intact.
