Manufacturer: Harrington & Richardson Type: Revolver Model: 676 Caliber: .22 WMR Barrel Length: 4.5" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4468 S/N: AS41678 Ref #: N/A Notes: A Harrington & Richardson Model 676 double-action/single-action revolver with a 4.5-inch barrel and six-shot cylinder marked .22 W.M.R.F. ONLY. The installed cylinder identifies its .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire configuration. Smooth wooden grips, a case-colored frame and the distinctive finger-rest projection on the trigger guard give the revolver its Western-inspired profile. Made in 1978 in Gardner, Massachusetts, this example belongs to the Model 676 line offered during the late 1970s as a convertible rimfire revolver with interchangeable .22 Long Rifle and .22 Magnum cylinders. Only the installed Magnum cylinder accompanies this example. The model combines traditional Western styling with double-action/single-action operation, unlike the single-action-only mechanism commonly associated with that appearance. The blued steel barrel and cylinder contrast with the frame's remaining mottled case colors. A serrated exposed hammer, curved trigger, removable cylinder and fixed front-blade and rear-notch sights complete the arrangement. The wooden grip panels have a rounded lower profile and retain handwritten markings near the bottom of one panel. Substantial corrosion and mottled discoloration cover the frame. The barrel, cylinder and lower assembly have oxidation and finish loss, and the wooden grips are scratched, discolored and worn.
