Manufacturer: ITM Arms Type: Rifle Model: Mk99 Caliber: 7.62x39mm Barrel Length: 17.5" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4292 S/N: 0002903 Ref #: 1083022 Notes: An ITM Arms Mk99 7.62x39mm semi-automatic rifle with a 17.5-inch barrel, reddish-brown wooden handguards and a folding steel wire stock. The stamped receiver bears ITM Arms identification together with Vector Arms, North Salt Lake, Utah markings. The combination of wood, black metal and the open wire-stock profile gives this example a distinctive AK-pattern configuration. ITM Arms receivers were used in domestically assembled Kalashnikov-pattern firearms. This example combines its American-made receiver with the wooden handguards and wire-stock form familiar in military-pattern AK rifles. The rifle uses the AK family's long-stroke gas-piston system, with a right-side reciprocating charging handle, removable receiver cover, selector lever and paddle magazine release. A tangent rear sight and protected front post provide the iron sights, with a slant-style muzzle device at the barrel's end. The upper and lower wooden handguards contrast with a black synthetic pistol grip. The steel wire stock folds at its side hinge and terminates in a curved metal butt section, reducing the solid material around the rear of the rifle compared with a conventional wood stock. An olive-drab nylon sling is attached. No magazine is included. The metal has scattered scratches and edge wear, while the wooden handguards retain their reddish-brown finish with surface scuffs and wear at the edges. Additional finish wear is present on the folding-stock hardware and muzzle device.
