Its American-made stamped steel receiver bears DC Industries, St. Paul, Minnesota markings and serial 3000857. A ventilated quad-rail handguard and modern stock adapter add accessory and stock-adjustment provisions to the AK-pattern configuration. The NDS-3 receiver originated in the early manufacturing relationship between NoDak Spud and DC Industries and was used in domestically assembled AKM-pattern rifles. This example retains the long-stroke gas-piston layout, rotating bolt, right-side charging handle and large selector lever associated with that design. A paddle-style release serves the detachable-magazine system. A TDI Arms AKST adapter supports the adjustable synthetic shoulder stock, which has a broad textured buttpad. A black polymer pistol grip accompanies the railed forearm. The tangent rear sight and protected front post remain fitted, with a slant-cut muzzle device at the barrel's end. One detachable black polymer magazine is included. The rail-mounted SureFire Scout Light has a tan body marked A72716 and a KE2-A head. The light is illuminated in the inventory photographs. The rifle has extensive finish wear and brown oxidation on the barrel, front sight assembly and exposed steel surfaces, with additional scratches and wear on the receiver.
