Manufacturer: Bushmaster Type: Rifle Model: XM15-E2S Caliber: .223 Rem Barrel Length: 18" Optics: EOTech XPS3 holographic sight ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4291 S/N: L441051 Ref #: 1137553 Notes: A Bushmaster XM15-E2S .223 Remington semi-automatic rifle with an 18-inch barrel and mounted EOTech XPS3-family holographic sight. The lower receiver bears Bushmaster's Windham, Maine address and serial L441051. An adjustable shoulder stock, ribbed two-piece polymer handguard and contoured pistol grip form its traditional AR-pattern furniture arrangement. The XM15-E2S belongs to Bushmaster's established line of gas-operated AR-pattern rifles. Black aluminum upper and lower receivers are paired with a steel barrel and slotted muzzle device. The rifle has a rear charging handle, forward assist, ejection-port cover, selector, bolt catch and magazine release. A fixed front sight sits in the triangular barrel-mounted sight base. The EOTech has the compact transverse battery housing, rear controls with an NV button and cross-bolt rail mount of the XPS3 family. That arrangement distinguishes it from the longer longitudinal-battery EOTech designs. The sight is mounted above the receiver. It did not power on during the staff check. One black polymer detachable magazine and an adjustable black nylon sling accompany the rifle. The barrel and front sight assembly have finish discoloration and oxidation, with scattered scratches and handling wear on the receivers and furniture. The EOTech housing is scuffed, and prominent marker writing and surface spotting are present on the viewing window.
