Matte dark steel is paired with a black synthetic stock, molded gripping surfaces and a rubber recoil pad. The flush-fitting rotary magazine and conventional sporting stock identify the original American configuration. The American combines a three-lug bolt, tang-mounted safety and adjustable trigger with Ruger's integrated bedding arrangement. The bedding system supports the action within the synthetic stock, while the detachable rotary magazine keeps the underside of the rifle relatively flush. These elements distinguish the design within Ruger's range of sporting bolt-action rifles. The Redfield Revolution provides magnification from 3x to 9x through a 40mm objective, with rings securing it above the receiver. Its underside carries the Revolution 3-9x40 designation and identifier 270710W. The scope's variable range complements the rifle's .308 Winchester chambering, a longstanding full-power cartridge used in sporting and target rifles. The adjustable black sling is secured at the stock's swivel points. The stock has scattered scuffs and scratches, particularly along the buttstock and grip areas. The barrel and receiver retain a largely uniform dark finish with minor exterior wear, and the scope housing shows light handling marks.
