Manufacturer: Colt Type: Rifle Model: Piston Carbine Caliber: 5.56 mm Barrel Length: 17.5" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4255 S/N: LP001865 Ref #: N/A Notes: A Colt Piston Carbine 5.56mm semi-automatic rifle with a 17.5-inch barrel, adjustable shoulder stock and railed fore-end. This example is equipped with folding front and rear iron sights and a vertical foregrip incorporating a deployable bipod. Its piston-operated configuration distinguishes it within Colt’s AR-pattern carbine family, while retaining the familiar receiver and control layout. The black-finished upper and lower receivers are paired with a ventilated handguard carrying Picatinny rails along its top, sides and underside. The continuous upper sight rail provides mounting space behind the folding front sight, and rail covers line portions of the handguard. A slotted muzzle device completes the forward assembly. The telescoping buttstock provides an adjustable length arrangement, with a textured buttplate and sling attachment point. A textured pistol grip sits below the receiver, alongside the AR-style safety selector, magazine release and bolt catch. The lower receiver is marked Piston Carbine and 5.56mm, with Colt’s maker identification. The foregrip combines a vertical gripping surface with two folding support legs, allowing one fitted accessory to serve both roles. Folding iron sights preserve a low profile when lowered. A user manual is included; no magazine accompanies the rifle. The black finish shows light handling wear, with the furniture and rail surfaces remaining well defined.
