The long-slide Tactical configuration provides a longer sighting plane than the shorter XD service models, while retaining the full-size grip and familiar XD control arrangement. One detachable magazine accompanies this example. The slide has grasping serrations at both front and rear, fixed iron sights and prominent XD-40 and Tactical markings. The olive frame contrasts with the dark slide and incorporates an accessory rail ahead of the trigger guard. Textured grip panels and molded frontstrap grooves define the grip, with a grip safety at the rear and a separate trigger safety. Springfield Armory and Made in Croatia markings identify the pistol’s commercial brand and manufacturing origin. The XD family combines a striker-fired action with polymer-frame construction; this Tactical variant adds a longer barrel and slide to that established layout. Its .40 S&W chambering places it within the centerfire service-pistol category rather than the smaller rimfire or pocket-pistol formats. The pistol retains a coordinated two-color appearance, with handling marks and some slide-edge wear. The molded grip texture and principal markings remain well defined.
