Manufacturer: AMT Type: Pistol Model: Back Up Caliber: .22LR Barrel Length: 2.5" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4473 S/N: F11739 Ref #: N/A Notes: An AMT Back Up .22 LR semi-automatic pocket pistol with a 2.5-inch barrel, stainless construction and black checkered grip panels. Its short slide, compact frame and minimal sight profile make a distinctive contrast to the larger target-pistol forms commonly associated with .22 rimfire handguns. The slide is marked CAL. .22 L.R. H.V., BACK UP and Covina, California, with Stainless and Made in U.S.A. markings on the opposite side. The AMT monogram appears on the frame. These markings identify the rimfire version of the Back Up family and its California manufacturing association. Rear slide serrations and low-profile iron sights sit above the small, rounded trigger guard. The black grip panels provide a contrasting textured surface against the satin metal. The narrow grip and compact slide give the pistol a notably economical outline, with little external ornament beyond the maker and model legends. Several grip screws are missing, leaving visible open mounting holes. The stainless surfaces have scratches, dark spotting and mottled discoloration, while the grip panels show handling wear.
