Manufacturer: Ruger Type: Rifle Model: 10/22 Caliber: .22LR Barrel Length: 18.5" Optics: Simmons Model 1005 Scope ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4319 S/N: 128-26774 Ref #: N/A Notes: A Ruger 10/22 .22 LR semi-automatic rifle with an 18.5-inch barrel, traditional wooden stock and a Simmons Model 1005 scope. The black scope and metal finish contrast with the warm brown wood, while a black carrying sling and protective muzzle cap accompany the rifle. This circa 1986 example has the conventional fixed-barrel carbine configuration of Ruger’s enduring rimfire design. The stock has a rounded pistol-grip wrist, slim fore-end and barrel band, with a dark buttplate at the rear. The 10/22’s compact receiver sits low in the wood, preserving the simple sporting profile associated with the model. Ruger, Model 10/22 Carbine and .22 LR markings identify the action. The Simmons scope is mounted above the receiver in two rings. Its underside is marked Model #1005 and Japan. The slender tubular body, central adjustment housing and enlarged objective and eyepiece bells give the optic a traditional sporting-scope profile. The 10/22’s semi-automatic action and detachable-magazine layout have made it a familiar platform for recreational target and small-game shooting. The mild .22 LR chambering complements the light sporting configuration, and the installed scope provides a separate magnified sighting arrangement. No magazine accompanies this example. The wood retains a generally even finish with handling marks, and the metal and scope exterior show ordinary use wear. The sling remains attached at the stock and fore-end.
