The long barrel and curved grip give it a traditional target-pistol outline, with a dark barrel and lock contrasting against the warm brown wood. Its hammer is mounted on the side of the lock, beside the breech. The stock extends beneath the rear portion of the barrel and curves into a rounded grip with a flared base. A single trigger sits within a plain metal guard. The ramrod is retained below the exposed forward barrel, and the lockplate has a shaped outline around the hammer mechanism. The barrel bears the oval ELG-and-star proof associated with the Liège proof house in Belgium, together with the number 102 and a separate small stamp near the breech. The proof identifies where the barrel was tested; it does not identify an individual maker. The pistol’s long octagonal barrel and curved wooden grip reflect the form of traditional single-shot percussion target arms. The barrel retains a dark finish with localized wear, the lock has patina, and the wood shows handling marks and areas of discoloration around the fittings.
