Manufacturer: Winchester Type: Rifle Model: 250 Caliber: .22 S/L/LR Barrel Length: 20.25" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4308 S/N: B1043405 Ref #: 1461905 Notes: A Winchester Model 250 lever-action rimfire rifle chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long and .22 Long Rifle, with a 20.25-inch barrel and a tubular magazine beneath it. This example combines dark-finished metalwork with checkered wood furniture and a curved pistol-grip stock. Its enclosed-hammer action gives the receiver a smooth, rounded profile that sets the Model 250 apart from Winchester’s exposed-hammer centerfire lever rifles. The operating lever follows the curve of the grip and incorporates the trigger guard. A right-side ejection opening and the slim magazine tube keep the action and ammunition supply within a compact sporting-rifle outline. The barrel is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 250” and “.22 S. L. OR L.R.”, identifying the full rimfire chambering rather than .22 LR alone. Decorative checkering panels extend along the fore-end and around the wrist, adding both texture and visual detail to the brown wood. Sights comprise an exposed front blade on a raised base and an open rear sight; a Winchester-marked black buttplate finishes the stock. The iron-sighted, tube-fed configuration reflects the familiar small-game and informal-target role of the sporting .22 lever rifle. The dark metal finish remains broadly intact. The wood has normal handling marks and some finish wear, with the checkering and Winchester markings remaining well defined.
