Manufacturer: Remington Type: Shotgun Model: 870 Marine Magnum Caliber: 12 GA Barrel Length: 18.25" Optics: Front bead sight ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4290 S/N: D490350M Ref #: 1083021 Notes: A Remington 870 Marine Magnum 12 gauge pump-action shotgun with an 18.25-inch barrel, silver-colored metalwork and an extended magazine tube. The “MARINE MAGNUM” marking beneath the ejection port identifies the variant, while the barrel is marked for 2¾- and 3-inch shells. Black furniture and an adjustable black sling contrast with the receiver and barrel, giving this example a distinctly two-tone appearance. The short, plain barrel carries a bead front sight. Its extended magazine tube reaches almost to the muzzle and is joined to the barrel by a clamp. A ribbed black sliding fore-end, curved trigger and conventional shoulder stock retain the familiar 870 layout. The buttstock is wood beneath its black finish, with a black Remington-marked buttpad. Introduced in 1950, the Model 870 became one of Remington’s enduring shotgun families. Its steel receiver and twin action bars are defining features of the design: the bars connect the sliding fore-end to the action on both sides. This Marine Magnum brings that established pump-action architecture together with the compact barrel and extended-tube configuration visible here. The stock’s black coating has worn through around the butt and in scattered areas, exposing the underlying wood. The metalwork retains its silver-colored presentation with localized oxidation and use wear.
