Manufacturer: Mossberg Type: Pistol Model: 715P Caliber: .22 LR Barrel Length: 7.25" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4305 S/N: EUF4484711 Ref #: 1456909 Notes: A Mossberg International 715P semi-automatic pistol in .22 Long Rifle, with a 7.25-inch barrel and black AR-style furniture. The short ventilated fore-end, raised sights and full-length top rail give the 715P a distinctive compact profile. It uses a rimfire action enclosed within a two-piece outer receiver shell, combining the familiar visual language of an AR-pattern firearm with a .22 LR pistol format. The textured pistol grip, rounded trigger guard and short rear housing are integral parts of its exterior layout. Side and lower rails on the perforated fore-end provide additional accessory-mounting surfaces, while the upper rail runs between the raised front and rear sights. A slotted muzzle attachment completes the barrel assembly; no optical sight is fitted. Mossberg introduced pistols in the 715 family in 2014, extending its AR-styled rimfire range into a compact handgun format. The raised sights and long upper rail preserve a rifle-like sighting arrangement within that shorter form. “MOSSBERG INTERNATIONAL 715P” and “.22 LONG RIFLE ONLY” markings identify the model and chambering. The modest recoil of .22 LR is consistent with the design’s recreational target role, while the multiple rail surfaces provide options for separately mounted sights and accessories. The black exterior shows ordinary use wear. No magazine is included.
