The slender barrel and narrow fore-end give this small-bore example a light visual profile, while the exposed hammer and top-mounted release lever retain the familiar form of the traditional break-action shotgun. The barrel is marked “PARDNER–MODEL SB1” and “.410 GA. 3″ MOD.” A single hinged barrel and chamber replace the magazine and repeating action of a pump or semi-automatic shotgun, keeping the design mechanically straightforward. The .410 designation refers to bore diameter in inches, although the barrel uses the period “GA.” wording. Warm brown wood forms the pistol-grip buttstock and rounded fore-end. A black NEF-marked buttplate accents the stock, and the receiver retains distinct blue, brown and gold case-color patterning. The plain furniture and mottled metal finish are characteristic details of this utilitarian single-shot configuration. The front bead is missing. Otherwise, the wood and metal show ordinary handling wear, with much of the barrel finish and the receiver’s color pattern remaining visible.
