The stock’s sweeping layers of dark and amber-colored wood are a prominent feature of this example, complemented by checkered gripping areas, open sights and a black padded sling. The barrel is clearly marked “.300 REM SA ULTRA MAG,” establishing the specific chambering. The compact receiver carries the Model Seven script and a conventional right-hand bolt handle. The stock has a rounded fore-end, contoured pistol grip and black recoil pad, with the sling attached beneath the fore-end and butt. A ramp-mounted front sight and open rear sight retain the rifle’s iron-sighted sporting configuration. Remington introduced the Model Seven in 1983 as a compact, lightweight short-action bolt rifle. The .300 Remington Short Action Ultra Magnum joined its chambering options in 2001, bringing a short-action magnum cartridge to that compact platform. This example combines that chambering with the distinctive layered appearance and substantial profile of a laminated stock. The barrel has substantial rust and finish loss, especially at the muzzle and front sight, with scattered oxidation on the receiver. The laminated stock retains its contrasting pattern and checkering with normal use wear.
