Manufacturer: Remington Type: Shotgun Model: 870 Wingmaster Caliber: 16 GA Barrel Length: 27.75" Optics: Front bead sight ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 4369 S/N: D605044W Ref #: N/A Notes: A Remington 870 Wingmaster pump-action shotgun in 16 gauge, with a 27.75-inch ventilated-rib barrel and checkered wood furniture. The polished dark receiver bears the Wingmaster script, and its traditional wood-and-metal finish is complemented by a gold-colored trigger and brown Remington recoil pad. The long ribbed barrel gives this example a conventional sporting-shotgun profile. The raised rib supplies a continuous sighting plane above the barrel, ending at a bead front sight. The tube magazine runs beneath the barrel and within the sliding fore-end. Checkering at the stock wrist and along the fore-end provides gripping texture, while a black spacer separates the stock from the recoil pad. The Wingmaster belongs to the original Model 870 family introduced in 1950. Its solid steel receiver and twin action bars are core design features of the long-running Remington pump platform. The 16 gauge chambering places this example between the more widely encountered 12 and 20 gauges in bore size. The wood retains a glossy appearance with localized finish loss around the wrist and fore-end. Scattered oxidation is visible along the rib supports and exposed metal edges.
