A group of 19 belt buckles combining rodeo trophies, Western imagery and commemorative designs. Highlights include a 1992 Western Regional Reserve Champion Roper buckle, a 1993 Northern Lights Cowboys Association All Around Cowboy award, a Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 buckle and a 1988 Fur Rendezvous puffin design. Scrollwork, rope borders, applied figures and contrasting metal tones give the group considerable variety. Selected award buckles are marked ‘Sterling Front’ or ‘Sterling Overlay’ and ‘1/10 10K’; these marks apply to those components rather than indicating solid-gold or solid-silver construction throughout. Visible maker marks include Skyline Silversmiths and Gist. The Jack Daniel's buckle bears an Arroyo Grande Buckle Co. mark and a Bergamot label dated 1993; a ‘Legends of Rodeo’ example is marked Award Design Medals. Tarnish, scratches and wear vary across the group. The largest buckle measures approximately 5 inches wide by 3.5 inches high by 1 inch deep.
