A decorative replica combining a flintlock-style pistol with an axe head, accompanied by a cow-hoof bottle with a cord lanyard, a leather cartridge pouch and two reproduction brass-tone powder flasks. The replica has a wood stock, scroll ornament and an axe head at the butt. One powder flask bears an applied eagle motif; the other is plain. The replica's wooden butt is fractured beneath the axe head and has a visible glued repair, with a gap remaining at the joint. The leather pouch is worn, has a divided cartridge insert and is stamped with St. Louis; the metal accessories show tarnish and surface wear. The replica measures approximately 18 inches long by 2 inches wide, with an axe head approximately 6.5 inches long.
