A substantial American bison (Bison bison) shoulder mount with a broad forehead, upward-curving black horns, deep chest and a heavy beard beneath the muzzle. Dense, shaggy brown hair gives the head and forequarters the powerful outline characteristic of the animal. Bison are closely associated with the Great Plains; Alaska's wild plains-bison herds descend from animals introduced from Montana in 1928. The rear has a wooden backing; suitable hanging hardware will need to be added. Overall dimensions are approximately 37 inches long by 35 inches wide by 34 inches high. Note Regarding Shipping Services: This item is exceptionally large and/or heavy and may require custom boxing or crating depending on the intended destination and available carrier services.
