A carved walrus ivory rose pendant with layered petals, suspended from a black cord with two ivory bicone beads, two dark mottled round beads and a barrel-style clasp. The necklace measures approximately 18 inches long. Also included is a walrus ivory polar bear pin with dark baleen and scrimshaw accents. The reverse is initialed ‘M.O.’ and the source attributes the pin to Gambell carver Melcher Oozevaseuk (1974–2018). This attribution applies to the pin. The ivory shows light scratches and discoloration, more pronounced on the bear. The dark round necklace beads have irregular worn surfaces, and the metal fittings show wear.
