Two small trinket boxes combining walrus ivory, bone or antler, wood and baleen. The taller box has a pale, naturally textured body between a wooden base and lid, with a small bone-or-antler seal as the lid finial. Its underside is signed N. Noatak, Mekoryuk AK, and dated 2003. The smaller, irregularly contoured box has a polished ivory body with a dark baleen base and lid. Both show scratches, discoloration and surface wear. The smaller lid fits poorly and was difficult to remove, although staff confirmed that it opens; the gallery shows it removed. The taller box measures approximately 2.5 by 1.75 by 4 inches high.
