A salmon carved from mineralized whalebone, with incised fins and gill details, contrasting eye centers and a curved body mounted on a matching natural-material base. Gray, tan and brown tones emphasize the material's grain and open texture. The carving shows surface wear, fine checking and irregular edges associated with the porous material. Overall dimensions are approximately 13.75 inches long by 4.25 inches deep by 8 inches high.
