A mask carved from mineralized walrus jawbone combines an elongated human face with an animal head emerging above it. Incised brows, outlined eyes, a long nose and an open mouth give the central face a strongly modeled expression, while small fin-like forms project beside the lower edge. Smoother carved areas contrast with the jawbone's dark, porous texture. The rough reverse is signed ‘Aningayou’, supporting the attribution to Alaska Native carver Chris Aningayou (born 1983). The reverse has pronounced surface fissures and weathering, and a hanging cord is attached. Overall dimensions are approximately 5 inches wide by 1 inch deep by 8 inches high.
