A compact spirit mask by Elim artist Isaac Saccheus, built around a polished wooden face bisected by a narrow stone strip. A bentwood hoop surrounds the face, with six feathers alternating with six ivory elements, including small animal forms. Dark baleen implements flank the face, one shaped as a paddle and the other as a harpoon with an attached line. The open framework lets each material and silhouette remain distinct. The reverse is signed ‘Isaac Saccheus’, inscribed ‘Elim AK’ and dated ‘12’. Overall dimensions are approximately 8.25 inches wide by 1 inch deep by 7.5 inches high.
