A slender bone-or-antler human figure attributed to Iñupiaq artist Wilbur Kuzuguk of Shishmaref, Alaska, with incised facial and clothing details, separate legs and WK initials on the upper reverse. A cord is tied around the neck, and a small fitting protrudes from the back of the head. Also included is a handcrafted Alaskan doll dressed in hide, fabric, felt and several types of fur, with seed-bead accents and embroidered features on a yellow face. The doll has heavy damage: a detached foot with exposed stuffing, tape repairs, torn and peeling hide on the legs and deterioration around the neck. Fabric and fur are worn and discolored. The carved figure shows surface wear and dark marks. The doll measures approximately 3 by 5.25 by 12.5 inches high when upright.
