A straw mosaic depicting a bald eagle with spread wings and extended talons against a dark ground. Closely fitted golden and pale strips create the layered feather pattern, with darker linear details defining the wings and feet. The work is signed Zin Shein, Burma near the lower-left portion of the bird. Presented under glazing in a gold-tone frame with a dark border and decorative inner trim. Surface marks are visible on the glazing and frame, and the paper backing has small punctures and wear. Overall dimensions are approximately 29.5 inches wide by 32 inches high.
