Signed ‘Aqulaq’ on the reverse, this hand-carved antler mask has a long face, narrow eyes, a defined nose and mouth, and closely incised lines across the forehead. Small pale circular accents beside the mouth appear to represent labrets and may be ivory. A full, pale fur ruff frames the face, contrasting with the mottled surface of the carved material. The complete mask, including the fur, measures approximately 8 inches wide by 1 inch deep by 8 inches high.
