A long whale-baleen plate engraved with a sequence of hunting scenes: a domed shelter, a spear-bearing figure facing a polar bear, a group in a boat beside a whale, and several walruses. Pale incised lines contrast with the dark baleen, which retains a fringe of bristles along one edge. The signature is read as Ahtuangaruak. The plate shows surface scratches, edge wear, small chips and irregular or broken bristles, with a slight natural curve. It measures approximately 61 inches long by 4.5 inches wide.
