Two woven baskets, a Parsons Hotel key with room-304 tag and a Barry Goldwater campaign button bearing The Best Man for the Job. The key tag identifies The Parsons Hotel at 300 H Street, Anchorage, Alaska. The larger basket is round with an attached lid; the smaller is square with contrasting dark and pale woven bands. A handwritten note found inside the round basket identifies it as from Tenganan, Bali, made of smoked atar material, and records its purchase from Jo Anne Hinton at Anchorage's Downtown Saturday Market on September 1, 2001. This provenance is reported from the note. The baskets show surface wear and discoloration, with wear to the key/tag, button and creased note. The round basket measures approximately 8 inches in diameter by 8 inches high.
