Four original watercolors of Montevideo, Uruguay, with signatures read as Mauro. Pencil captions identify Monumento a la Carreta, Avenida Agraciada, Pocitos and Plaza Independencia. Three carry a 59 date beside the signature. Scenes include the ox-cart monument, a busy avenue, the beach and the equestrian monument in Plaza Independencia. Three paintings are matted and framed under glass in matching gold-tone frames; Plaza Independencia is matted without an outer frame. The unframed mat has substantial scuffing, chips and edge loss, while the frames have scratches and corner wear. Sheets and mats show discoloration and scattered marks, and several floral-paper backings are torn. La Platense framing labels are present on three reverses. The framed works measure approximately 18 by 15.5 inches overall.
