A freestanding metal sculpture outlining Alaska, with a gold-colored line and dots tracing the Trans-Alaska Pipeline route. Brown, purple, blue and gold heat coloration contrasts with the dark cut edges, and the map is mounted on a curved metal base. The pipeline runs approximately 800 miles from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez. The sculpture has scratches, oxidation and surface discoloration, particularly on the reverse and underside. It measures approximately 10.75 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep by 7.25 inches high.
