A lidded Athabascan willow root basket, with a rounded shoulder, inset opening and knob-topped lid. The geometric decoration includes angular bands, concentric rings and a star-like lid design. Muted exterior colors contrast with stronger pink, purple, green and dark blue decoration preserved inside, underneath and on the lid's interior. The basket shows significant fading to the exterior, uneven coloration and small worn or frayed fibers. It measures approximately 11 inches in diameter by 9 inches high.
