A walrus carved in low relief on an irregular bone specimen, with a projecting walrus ivory tusk and a dark eye detail. The walrus silhouette follows the curved natural edge of the specimen. The bone has numerous pores, cracks and rough edges, with darker discoloration and surface wear. Cracks are visible across the reverse and along the carved face. It measures approximately 7.5 inches long by 4 inches wide by 1 inch high when lying flat.
