A circular coiled-fiber tray or placemat and a miniature shallow basket bowl, likely African, both decorated with concentric bands and geometric designs in tan, brown, rust and dark tones. The tray has alternating checked and solid-color panels; the small bowl has a raised rim and contrasting patterned bands. Both show fading, uneven coloration, loose or lifted fibers and small worn areas. Some colors remain stronger on the reverse. The tray measures approximately 13.5 inches in diameter by 1 inch high when lying flat.
