Two miniature skin-on-frame boats: a decked kayak with a circular cockpit and an open boat with visible wooden ribs, seats and dark rim lacing. Wooden paddles and small hunting-equipment models with cord and pale pointed fittings accompany them, together with loose miniature wooden parts. An accompanying Silver Hand tag gives the artist's name as apparently Jimmy Preines and the origin as Bethel, Alaska; the boats themselves have no readily visible signatures. The coverings show discoloration, staining, surface wear and irregular seams, with wear to the wood and some loose cord fibers. The larger boat measures approximately 12.75 inches long by 4.25 inches wide by 2.25 inches high.
