Two divided wooden specimen cases, one holding corked glass vials of geological samples and the other empty. Loose pieces include stones, a shell, a clustered specimen and a faceted iridescent decorative stone. The empty case retains worn Western Consolidated Airlines and U.S. Geological Survey shipping labels, including a handwritten address to Don Honea in Ruby, Alaska. Also included are two framed decorative displays reproducing early U.S. currency designs. These are reproductions, not spendable currency. The larger specimen case measures approximately 21.25 x 13 x 7 inches high. Cases and frames show scratches, stains, chipped edges and worn hardware; the shipping labels are torn and faded.
