A long walrus ivory wildlife sculpture by D. Noel Smith depicts a bull moose lowering its broad antlers toward two bears. Fine fur lines, slender legs, open spaces beneath the animals and a textured ground animate the compact scene. Rocks at one end complete the composition, which is raised above a dark, stepped wooden display base. Carved from a single walrus tusk, the sculpture is signed; a faint number is inscribed underneath. Overall dimensions are approximately 13.5 inches long by 4 inches wide by 4.5 inches high.
