An original watercolor of a Venetian canal scene, with a broad arched bridge, closely spaced waterfront buildings, a gondola and figures along the canal. Loose washes of ochre, green and gray define the architecture and reflections. The lower-left inscription includes Rosa and '95. Presented behind glazing with a pale mat in a green-painted frame. The frame has conspicuous chipped paint and exposed wood, especially along the right side and corners. The mat shows light discoloration and marks, and the backing paper has tears and small losses. Overall dimensions are approximately 23.5 inches wide by 18 inches high.
