Two unframed mixed-media artworks attributed to Laura Bethke: Moon Mermaid, signed Laura Bethke in the lower margin, and a brightly colored angelfish composition signed Laura in raised gold-colored lettering. Purple, orange, yellow, green and blue forms are edged with dimensional gold-colored lines over textured cream paper with fiber accents. The mermaid work is mounted on a rigid backing; the fish has a pale backing sheet. Edges and margins show handling wear, small marks and discoloration. The mermaid's black reverse covering has substantial torn or abraded losses around the perimeter, exposing the backing beneath. The larger work measures approximately 16 inches wide by 20 inches high.
