A brass-barreled flintlock blunderbuss with a flared muzzle, full wooden stock and brass trigger guard and buttplate. The lock is marked ‘JACKSON’; the barrel bears ‘LONDON’ and separate crowned P and V stamps. A wood ramrod with a brass end and a soft suede case are included. The brass has scratches, small dents and dark tarnish; the lock shows mottled oxidation and surface marks, and the stock has handling wear. The suede case is stained and worn. With the gun in its case, the recorded overall dimensions are approximately 39.5 inches long by 6.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches thick.
